The 18th edition of the International Symposium on String Processing and Information Retrieval (SPIRE 2011) takes place in Pisa, Italy, the week before CIKM 2011 takes place. There is a direct flight between the Pisa and Glasgow airports operated by RyanAir, the world’s most famous low-cost airline.
